community involvement

Though our main philanthropic focus is the Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Epsilon Zeta chapter is dedicated to enhancing our local San Marcos community. In 2016, our chapter volunteered over 2,830 hours to our local community. Additionally, this past Spring semester we teamed up with Delta Sigma Phi to collect over 1,600 jars of peanut butter for School Fuel of San Marcos! A few of our organizations we participate in are:

San Marcos Emergency Responders- Our Patriotic Chair works hard to host dinners at our house and deliver baked goods for our Fire Fighters, EMS, and Police Department. In 2015 alone, we spent more than 380 hours serving the San Marcos Emergency Responders.

San Marcos Senior Center- At the Senior Center, we love to play fun games and host holiday parties for their residents. We also help serve breakfast and lunch on a weekly basis to the various citizens. In 2015 we were happy to serve more than 305 hours at the San Marcos Senior Center.

Bobcat Build- Bobcat build is a campus wide event to help clean up our local community and river. We are able to team up with various organizations across our campus to serve the San Marcos community each spring.

School Fuel- Members raise money and help pack lunches for elementary school children who are not fortunate enough to have meals on the weekends and holiday breaks when school is not in session.
